Art in Action 2016

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who came to say hello at my Art in Action stand this year. It was my best ever show and I nearly sold out of the work I took with me. I only wish I had more! I met some lovely people who made some very kind comments about my work, which has inspired me to continue to follow my instinct and passion for colour and design in hand woven fabrics.

Thank you!

A design full of contrasts, both in the weave pattern and colour. I think I was looking to develop something very different and went on a journey of exploration. I hope you like the results. The colours include black, natural, red, rust orange, pink and blue. Woven in 50% Swedish linen and 50% USA cotton.

I was down on West Sands beach, St Andrews today, taking photographs of some new shawls I’ve woven. Take a look in my shop. It’s a beautiful location for a photo shoot, sandwiched between the sea and the Royal & Ancient golf course. I took the last picture for inspiration. The soft browns, blues and whites would make a lovely wool and alpaca stripy scarf.
