Last delivery of the year………………….dropped off by hand………………….December 21st 2016.
For all those who had one of my parcels left in an outhouse, with a neighbour, tracked across the sea, or bought from a show, I say a big thank you for making 2016 such a great year for me. I am already excitedly planning my next designs in my head. Can’t wait to start 2017. Merry Christmas and Happy New year to all.
I am taking part in the Fife Contemporary Art and Crafts ‘treat pop up’ at the Byre Theatre, St Andrews, on Saturday 13th December. 11 – 4pm. A selection of my handwoven super soft wool and alpaca scarves and shawls will be for sale. Look forward to seeing you there!
I have just got back from a few days in London. I went down to have a look at the ‘Country Living Christmas Fair’ at the Design Centre and ‘Handmade in Britain’ which was on in Chelsea. I ‘m thinking about applying to exhibit at one of these shows in 2105. Both shows were full of creative makers and were fun to explore.
Of course, I couldn’t go to London with out visiting it’s most beautiful store. Liberty.
And I couldn’t miss out on a few famous landmarks, like Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery. (Not to mention the ‘Who are You?’ exhibition by Grayson Perry on at the National Portrait Galley just round the corner. Well worth a visit.
I also took in the ‘Inside Royce-Royce’ exhibition on at the Saatchi Gallery in the King’s Road. A stunning exhibition of supreme craftsmanship. Always striving for perfection in a luxury product. I ‘m not normally interested in cars, but the quality of the work and the ambition of Mr Rolls and Mr Royce to produce the best, is truly inspiring.
Then it was time to come home and get my boots muddy again!
